Growing Together

For many families in rural Malawi, the land is both livelihood and home. A good season means school fees paid, food on the table and a little set aside. A poor one — too little rain, or too much — can undo years of progress.

Families already know their land better than anyone. What they often lack is access: to improved seed, to simple tools, to information about new techniques, and to markets where they can sell what they grow at a fair price.

Through our livelihoods programme, we are working with farming families to close those gaps. That means practical training in soil care and crop diversity, support to form savings groups, and connections to buyers so that a good harvest turns into a real income.

Progress is measured in seasons, not weeks. But each family that grows a little more, saves a little more, and plans a little further ahead makes the whole community stronger.
